Supporting Schools Across the Mornington Peninsula

    School Language & Literacy Program

Speech pathology and literacy support delivered directly in your school, helping students strengthen their language, literacy and classroom participation.

Bringing language and literacy support into schools

Spriggle Kids partners with primary schools across the Mornington Peninsula to provide practical, school-based language and literacy support.

Our program brings qualified practitioners directly into the school environment, allowing support to be delivered where children learn, communicate and participate every day.

Rather than working with students in isolation, the program can also involve teachers and Education Support staff so practical strategies can be carried into the classroom throughout the school week.

    How the program works

We work with school leadership to build a practical model around the needs of the school.

    1. Plan with your school

We work with leadership and relevant staff to understand priorities, identify appropriate students and determine how the school day can be structured.

    2. Identify support needs

Depending on the partnership, support may include assessment, individual intervention, small groups, observations or consultation.

    3. Deliver support onsite

Our practitioner attends the school and delivers the agreed program onsite, reducing the need for families to travel to separate appointments.

    4. Build classroom capacity

Where appropriate, strategies, resources and professional discussions help teachers and Education Support staff reinforce learning beyond individual sessions.

    More than student sessions

Sustainable literacy support requires more than working with a student for one session and then leaving the classroom environment unchanged.

Spriggle Kids can work alongside teachers and Education Support staff to provide practical strategies, resources, consultation and professional discussion that help embed support into everyday learning.

The goal is to strengthen the support surrounding the student while building the school's capacity to respond to language and literacy needs.
