Developmental Program · Ages 4+

    Growing Sprigs

A supportive, play-based developmental program for children aged 4 and over, designed to build confidence, communication, independence and participation in everyday life.

    Supporting growing independence and participation

Growing Sprigs is designed for children aged 4 and over who may benefit from additional support with communication, regulation, social participation, confidence, routines or everyday independence.

As children grow, they are often expected to manage more complex routines, social situations and transitions. Growing Sprigs provides opportunities to practise these skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

The program is developmental rather than academic, with a focus on helping children participate more confidently in the environments and activities that matter to them.

What might Growing Sprigs look like?

Sessions may include shared play, movement, creative activities, outdoor experiences, group challenges, practical routines and opportunities to communicate and work alongside other children.

These activities can provide natural opportunities to practise skills such as flexible thinking, communication, cooperation, regulation, confidence and independence.

Children are supported at their own developmental level rather than expected to meet one standard set of skills.

    Child-centred

Each child is supported according to their individual strengths, communication style, interests and developmental needs.

    Play-based

Play, movement and practical activities create meaningful opportunities for children to practise new skills in a natural and engaging way.

    Participation-focused

The aim is to support children to take part more confidently in everyday routines, relationships and community environments.

    Developmental support alongside allied health

Spriggle Kids brings developmental programs and allied-health services together in one child-focused environment.

Where clinically appropriate and relevant to the individual child's needs, families may also access occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology or other supports available through Spriggle Kids.

Participation in Growing Sprigs does not automatically include individual therapy. Individual therapy and assessment are provided separately according to the child's needs, goals and service arrangements.

    Who might Growing Sprigs suit?

Growing Sprigs may suit families looking for a supportive small-group developmental program for a child aged 4 or over.

Children may have identified developmental or disability support needs, may be awaiting further assessment, or may benefit from additional support with communication, social participation, regulation, routines or independence.

Our team can talk with families about whether Growing Sprigs appears appropriate for their child's individual needs.
